I recently worked with Spencer Guy of Ditto Consignments. He wanted some business professional and casual shots for his website.
First time using my Leica in a indoor studio setting. Let’s just say I’m falling a little more in love with this camera every day.
“He always thought of the sea as ‘la mar’ which is what people call her in Spanish when they love her. Sometimes those who love her say bad things of her but they are always said as though she were a woman. Some of the younger fishermen, those who used buoys as floats for their lines and had motorboats, bought when the shark livers had brought much money, spoke of her as ‘el mar’ which is masculine. They spoke of her as a contestant or a place or even an enemy.”
“High and fine literature is wine, and mine is only water; but everybody likes water.”
― Mark Twain
I had the opportunity to be the photographer at a pretty big event last Saturday. I captured shots of governors, top diplomats from abroad, and reality telelvision stars. However, this man who had no important title was my favorite subject of the night

They give you a tri sampler of their most popular items when it’s your first time in. Oh and the homemade dessert, to die for.

The price isn’t that bad for the quality of the hotel, great customer service and that view….what else could you want.

The great US of A.
My flight was canceled and rescheduled until tomorrow. As much as I wanted to be frustrated I had to see it as meant to be.
I took my extra day in Colorado and spent about 8 hours wandering around Garden of the Gods and Garden of the Goddesses (a kind restaurant owner told me about the spot right before sunset).

This storm had me sitting in traffic before Eisenhower tunnel for 9 hours for what should have been a 2.5 hour drive yesterday. I ended making it to Boulder, checking into a hotel built in 1909 around midnight. The whole day I kept on telling myself “tomorrow will be better”.
I woke up and received two free mimosas. Some newbie kept on forgeting my toast. Started a day of fantastic events. Thank God for quality customer service managers, sourdough toast and better tomorrows.
Here’s a little sneak peak of a shot I did at Norfolk Pendulum. A farm to table butchers shop that is about to open up in Ghent. I brought my strobes but ended up doing a little over half with natural lighting. As for the new Leica M240. A little bit of a learning curve but anyone with knowlege enough to operate in manual can pick up the range finder quick. The images come out so clean. I’ll be updating soon with a bunch of my new work as well as shots from my current trip in Colorado.
There was a star riding through clouds one night. And I said to the star, ‘Consume me’
