Trying my hand at child portraiture with manual focus. Tricky but well worth it.

Who is The Cup of Sunshine?
My name is Aimee for any of my followers that actually care to know. I’ve been seriously pursuing photography for two years now. However, it has played a vital role on how I viewed the world since I was a child. Borrowing “Dad’s Camera” to remember the beauty we found traveling. That camera gave me this feeling of purpose. It made me want to connect with the world, not run away from it.
The Cup of Sunshine, well it refers to that feeling I get when I pick up a camera. That machine is my Cup of Sunshine. My goal is to transfer that passion and love into my photographs. To capture my cup of sunshine into something timeless that can be shared with others.

Yesterday, I spent the day walking around Ghent shooting this beauty with my iconic partner in adventure, Tom. Days like this keep my passion for photography alive and in constant motion.

Looking forward to a spring of huge leaps in my progress. Some major unexpected changes are taking place that are leading to a switch in my careers. I will soon be working full time as a professional photographer.

Never have I ever felt more fulfilled. Nor more joyful.

Working on the head shots I did this past weekend for these lovely ladies.

No, no, they aren’t sisters. This mom and daughter duo, a pleasure to work with. AND I bartered in a deal for some massage therapy. Wahoo!

Not every sunset is remarkable. However, the beauty of the migratory birds silhouetted against a colorful sky and a softly lit bay make for irreplacable moments every evening.

This is a 2 minute bike ride from my cozy little trailer on the bay. Home is where the heart is. The sea has always been a part of my home.
